Mentors
Alums of top business schools, experienced entrepreneurs, professors, venture capitalists serves as mentors. The professors are always willing to work with you to give you the edge you need to succeed. In many cases, they not only act as professors but become friends, which is far more valuable.
Recent graduates come back each year for the Simulated Interview Program and Career Exploration, an evening question-and-answer session that gives current students a reality check on their career plans. Many of these alums who agree to serve as mentors or contacts are joining the MBA program’s growing Advisory Council database.
Throughout the two-year program, mentors meet with their designated students regularly, inviting them to their organizations for tours and sharing advice on business and careers, not to mention breakfasts and cocktail parties.
The relationship with the business community allowed for an unprecedented amount of personal interaction between the students and businesspeople. Since we were encouraged to develop ties with the mentors/business leaders, there were many opportunities for career planning, job hunting, and general success strategies.
